What's the first thing you do after rolling around on the ground after your workout... hopefully it is reaching over to your phone to log your scores. If not, let's work on that. Tracking data is important. Our fitness is quantifiable therefore we need the data logged. In regards to nutrition, tracking the foods you eat, which we will start doing next week if you are not already doing so, will give you a more accurate depiction of the quantities you are consuming for health and fitness. It’s important to pay attention and record not only your nutrition, workout scores and lifts but also how you feel each day and details about your mindset, mood, and sleep patterns.
Other metrics to track daily include:
Really, the more we can write down, the better. These may seem to be tinier details but they play a huge role in training. This does not have to be a complicated process, keep it simple by jotting down these details in your daily SugarWOD notes so you and your coaches have them available for review. Once you start writing down how you’re feeling, motivation levels, sleep, and your nutrition, you’ll get a better sense of your ideal recovery schedule.
During week 2 of our Clean Eating Challenge, we will be encouraging you all to get that bonus reflection point in by writing down the details listed above in the notes for your daily score.
