- Our staff are here to help ensure that this does not happen! We will show you how to scale and reduce movements to reap the benefits of the programming while minimizing the risk. - Dress comfortably. Any comfortable athletic wear that allows you to move freely. Comfortable shoes are a must!
- How often should I attend class?
- To receive the full benefits of CrossFit, we recommend attending at least 3 days each week. However, your individual needs may be different depending on which programs you follow. We would love to see you 5 days, but make sure to leave time for rest and recovery! Get with a coach to find the right schedule for you.
- Is the workout enough? Should I do more?
- The WOD will be a great starting point for most athletes, but some may want to do more. Depending on your individual goals, you can meet with a coach to determine how to supplements for optimal performance.
- Do I have to do Keto/Paleo/Whole30?
- Per Crossfit HQ, an ideal diet is as follows: Eat meat and vegetables, nuts and seeds, some fruit, little starch, and no sugar. Keep intake to levels that will support exercise but not body fat. This will meet your general needs, but performance athletes may need to consult with a coach. However, there is no need to follow any specific diet plan.
- What is a typical class like?
- Classes are one hour long. We start with 10-15 minutes of general warm-up, followed by skill, strength, or conditioning to prepare for the work out. The main workout can be anywhere from 10-30 minutes of intense work, and can be scaled as needed. Each workout is followed by a quick cool down.
